    As Paul Slotin grew up in the Bailey's opulent circles, he became adept at navigating the intricate web of alliances and rivalries that defined the pre-Horde society. Blessed with charisma and a silver tongue, he quickly rose through the ranks of the mercantile world, securing profitable deals and earning the favor of influential figures. However, beneath the polished exterior of the young merchant, a keen observer could detect a shrewd and calculating mind.   When the Horde came, plunging the world around him into chaos, Paul saw the glimmering verdant light of opportunity. The once-lavish parties and extravagant deals were replaced by a rising need for tacit negotiation. Faced with the open battleground that was interfaction communication, Paul adapted quickly, leveraging his negotiation skills to barter for necessities and forge alliances among the disparate groups struggling for power.   Recognizing his talents, the Templars of a Radiant Dawn recruited him as their negotiator, giving birth to the persona of "Vox." Clad in formidable armor that bore the marks of countless negotiations and battles, Vox became the face of the Radiant Dawn to the outside world.   Behind the veneer of diplomacy, Vox carries the weight of a darker responsibility. Tasked with overseeing the Templars' interrogation and psychological operations team, Vox finds himself straddling the line between diplomacy and coercion. The once-friendly merchant has become a master of manipulation, using his knowledge of human nature to extract information and maintain control.   Over time, Vox has come to see little dissonance between the roles he plays. In his mind, survival in the post-apocalyptic world requires a blend of charm and ruthlessness. To him, the ends justify the means, and the Templars' vision of order have become synonymous with his own quest for power and influence.   As rumors of Vox's methods spread, so does unease among those who have dealt with him. His unnerving friendliness becomes a facade, a thin veil over the steely determination and cunning that defines his true nature. To negotiate with Vox is to dance on the edge of a precipice, where one wrong move could lead to either prosperity or ruin.  
Vox is known to wear a set of the Radiant Guardian Battleplate and carries a prototype Beta Burner on his person, though he prefers to utilize words, rather than physical force.
