Magistrate James Peter Comstock
The regional Magistrate for the area of Patricious North that contains Ellistown Landing, James Peter Comstock has been serving as magistrate for over 12 years, and the town fell under his jurisdiction when it was constructed.
While generally seen to be a fair judge in civil cases and legitimate criminal complaints, Comstock has been known to be fairly cold and pitiless when overseeing trials against serious or unrepentent offenders. Peter sees himself as a judge on the frontier of society. While Ellistown landing is not outside the protection of the Bailey the recent influx of outsiders and wastelanders that have been coming through the place has been a bit of a thorn in his side. As such, he feels that it is his duty to instruct those in his courtroom in proper etiquette, decorum and the law. Ignorance of the law is no excuse for the behavior of these outlanders, nor is their having been raised in a bomb crater any excuse for their bad manners. Observers have their doubts that Peter Comstock will treat wastelanders as fairly as he treats Bailey citizenry. Only time will truly tell.
Comstock himself is part of the Comstock family of Middie Solestros, who have firmly entrenched themselves into the legal apparatus of The Bailey.
