Middie Solestros

Background

Said to be descended from the residents of the Great Polis, that city which weathered the Fall fairer than any other but Dee Cee herself, the Solestros of The Bailey come not from great breeding or kept stock, but the tough and hardy working professionals of a thriving civic center. As a result, they end up falling naturally into roles as team leads, field agents, and other individuals with enough managerial talent to handle others but no desire to flex it and gain more responsibility.

The shared heritage and somewhat picturesque origin legend has led to these Solestros bonding over the shared Identity, and many openly display symbols of The Anchor, said to be the symbol of the Great Polis and representing all her tenacity and longevity. The comradery shared by these Solestros has led to a heavy proliferation of them as career NCOs within the Drafted Service, with many families having proudly had generations served without ever being dealt the misfortune of further promotion.

Costume and Roleplay Requirements

Middie Solestros will always dress appropriately for the task, but usually cannot avoid the impulse to add a little pop to make them easily noticeable in a group of workers. Things like standard uniforms but bright (but within regulation) ties or colorful pins, a slightly different color shirt, or any little detail that stands out just enough from the crowd to catch the eye.

Mechanics

Helping Hand

While within an area that allows the Agriculture, Artisan, Culinary, Education, Foraging, Hunting, or Salvaging skills, and within five feet of a Target using one of those skills, you may engage in a similar Active Roleplay as the Target, and take 5 Points (0.5 Levels) of Exhaustion to reduce the remaining time of the Target’s skill use in half. Use of this ability requires you to perform similar roleplay as the Target until the skill has concluded, your roleplay counts as Full Engagement Roleplay. If the Target stops using the skill for any reason, such as they break the roleplay or are put into Bleed Out then your ability ends as well. If you stop using the ability for any reason, such as breaking the roleplay or are put into Bleed Out, then the Target must complete their original total roleplay time of the skill as if you had never used your ability at all, but you still retain the 5 Points (0.5 Levels) of Exhaustion.

You can not use this ability if you are stable and at 0 Body. You cannot use this ability if you have 8 Levels of Exhaustion or higher. *Note: It is encouraged that you collaborate with your Target and roleplay working together, assisting them, and giving them direction.
