Chancellor Nurch Chevallier
Chancellor Chevalier is a Full Dead who has been in the Bailey since it's very dawning when the Last Hope Uni was still mostly slag covered rubble left over from the Fall. The Chancellor is a tall figure almost stretched figure, wearing a fraying suit of indeterminant dark colors. The suit often sparks endless debate about it being black, dark blue, dark grey or brown. Typically the Chancellor wears a black sextagonal tam mortarboard with this suit and a tattered academic stole of black and gold. At night the Chancellor carries an old lantern with a single burning candle in it.
A quiet, stolid character if there ever was. The Chancellor glides around the campus, keeping an eye out for trouble but also for innovation. Few things raise any emotions out of the old figure, but a brilliant student grasping a new concept will often elicit a smile. It is theorized that the Chancellor was an educator of some sort before the fall, perhaps involved in some sort of sciencery that ended up with them ending up in the sealed vault beneath the university when the world ended.
The vault is now just a defunct chamber underneath the collapsed ruin of an old multi-story laboratory building where occasional scavenging runs rarely find anything useful.
